Biography
Gregory Springate has been teaching accounting, auditing, tax, finance and information systems courses at MacEwan since 2007. Prior to this, he was a full-time consultant for BurCom Consulting Ltd., using business plans, policies and procedures, competitive analyses and Sage 300 software to turn small companies into larger ones. From 2004 to 2008, Springate was a senior mManager with the public accounting firm of KRP LLP, where he performed audits, reviews, compilations and completed personal and corporate tax returns for companies from a variety of industries. In the early 2000s, he was the director of internal audit for Petro-Canada on the east coast, which involved performing audits of the Terra Nova and White Rose offshore oil projects. He spent most of the 1990s performing both financial and value-for-money audits of the federal government. Springate began his career with Arthur Andersen, completing audits of large corporations.
