Biography
Dr. Summers specializes in the history of Old Regime and revolutionary Francecurrently revising her doctoral dissertation on emigration and the problem of return into a book on the invention of émigrés and refugees as modern political actors.
Research Interest
Her current research examines the conflict between individual liberty and national security during times of political upheaval; how revolutions end; and how, in their aftermath, divided populations might be reconciled.
