Don Boitson

Biography

Reporting to the President and CEO, Mr. Boitson is responsible for the strategic and operational direction of Magellan’s 11 North American divisions across Canada and the United States. Mr. Boitson joined Magellan Aerospace, Winnipeg in 1988 and has held increasingly senior leadership roles in the areas of business development, domestic and international marketing, operations, manufacturing engineering, and customer and business relations. In March 2003, Mr. Boitson was appointed General Manager, Aerospace of the Winnipeg operation, encompassing all aspects of aeroengine and aerostructures business activities – development, manufacture and procurement. In January 2008, he was promoted to Vice President and General Manager. Mr. Boitson is a Professional Engineer and member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Manitoba (APEGM) having graduated from the University of Manitoba with a BSc in Engineering ( Mechanical). Outside of work, Don is active in various community and professional activities. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Winnipeg Airports Authority and Business Council of Manitoba.  Don is also the Past President and member of the Board of Directors of the Manitoba Aerospace Association. Mr. Boitson was appointed to the position of Vice President North American Operations in March 2016.
