Gregory A. Framke

Biography

Greg Framke is Manulife’s Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer.  As leader of the company’s technology organization worldwide, he is responsible for developing and delivering Manulife’s global technology strategy. Mr. Framke is a member of Manulife’s Executive Committee.  Having worked with large international organizations and fast-growing startups, he has deep expertise in technology and strong global customer-centric experience. Prior to joining Manulife in January 2016, Mr. Framke was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at E*Trade where he worked in various senior capacities for 13 years.  At E*Trade, he was most recently responsible for the management of all global technology development and infrastructure, as well as global clearing & business operations.   Before joining  E*Trade, Mr. Framke  held a global role as Chief Operations Officer of Equity Technology at Deutsche Bank, was a Principal in Morgan Stanley’s technology division and began his technology career at IBM’s Wall Street practice. Greg Framke has been recognized as one of InfoWorld’s 25 Most Influential CTOs, as a two-time recipient of CIO Magazine’s Top 100 CIO’s for Innovation and as a ComputerWorld Honors Program Laureate.  He serves on a number of boards for startup companies and as advisor to venture capital firms.  Mr. Framke holds a B.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
