Linda Mantia

Biography

Linda Mantia is Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Manulife and is a member of Manulife’s Executive Committee. In her role as Chief Operating Officer she is responsible for globally leading Corporate Strategy and Corporate Development, Analytics, Technology, Marketing, Innovation, Human Resources, Regulatory and Public Affairs, Global Resourcing and Procurement, and the Global Program Office. Her goal is to ensure all activities within the COO team are aligned to enable the strategies of Manulife working collaboratively with the business units to accelerate execution, innovate and achieve strong results. Prior to Manulife, Linda was the Executive Vice President of Digital, Payments and Cards at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). At RBC, she held a number of increasingly senior positions since joining in 2003, including the COO of Global Private Banking, based in the U.K.  Earlier in her career Linda worked internationally as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. and as a corporate securities lawyer at Davies, Ward, Phillips & Vineberg LLP. Linda has been celebrated as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women, by the Women’s Executive Network in 2013 and also in 2014 recognized as a trendsetter and trailblazer.  In addition, Linda was named one of Payments Source’s Most Influential Women in Payments in 2014. She holds a Law Degree from Queen’s Law School in Kingston, Ontario and resides in Toronto, Ontario.
