Biography
Jon Hutt is a senior vice president at Matrix. Jon’s experience includes providing senior level guidance on assessment, remediation, reclamation, and monitoring projects involving hydrocarbon and salinity impacts at upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities, as well as multidisciplinary management for spill response projects. Jon started his career working in the oil industry through the cooperative education program, with his initial term working as a battery operator for PanCanadian Petroleum Limited, followed by various assignments throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta with Gulf Canada Resources. Following graduation, Jon started a branch office in Weyburn for KBL Land Use Consulting. Jon expanded the Saskatchewan operations, adding a satellite office in Swift Current, and was appointed vice president of the company in 2003. He worked for KBL until the sale of its Saskatchewan assets in 2006 to Odyssey Environmental, where he served as president and CEO until 2009 when Odyssey merged with Matrix.
