Biography

Mr. M. Bruce Chernoff, P.Eng., serves as the President of Caribou Capital Corp. Mr. Chernoff has been the Interim Chief Executive Officer of Maxim Power Corp. since June 2, 2016. Mr. Chernoff joined Caribou Capital Corp. in June 1999. Mr. Chernoff served as the Chief Executive Officer of Petroshale Inc. since November 25, 2013 until June 2017. He served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Barrington Petroleum Limited. He served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of PetroBank Energy and Resources Ltd. In 1988, he co-founded Pacalta Resources Ltd., where he held various senior positions including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He served as the Vice President of Pacalta Resources Ltd. He serves as the Chairman of Artek Exploration Ltd. He has been the Executive Chairman of Petroshale Inc. since November 25, 2013. He has been the Chairman of Maxim Power Corp., since March 2005. He served as the Chairman of Harvest Energy Trust from December 2002 to December 2009. He served as the Chairman of Brooklyn Energy Corp. He served as the Chairman of Harvest Operations Corp. since 2002, Viking Holdings Inc. of Viking Energy Royalty Trust. He has been a Director of Maxim Power Corp. since March 2005 serves as its Chairman of the Board. He has been a Director of Calmena Energy Services Inc. (formerly, BlackWatch Energy Services Corp.) since November 6, 2008. He has been an Independent Director of TORC Oil & Gas Ltd. since November 19, 2012. He has been a Director of Petroshale Inc. since August 31, 2012. Mr. Chernoff serves as a Director for PetroPembina Exploration Ltd., Broadview Energy Ltd. and Westbrick Energy Ltd. He has been Director of Artek Exploration Ltd. since December 2004. He serves as a Director of several other public companies. He serves a Director of Caribou Capital Corp. He serves as a Director at Barrington Petroleum Limited. He served as a Director at West Energy Ltd. since November 29, 2004. He served as a Director of EnerVest Diversified Management Inc. until September 23, 2008 and Harvest Operations Corp. since 2002. Mr. Chernoff served as a Director of Viking Holdings Inc. of Viking Energy Royalty Trust. He served as a Director of Pacalta since 1992 until it was purchased by Alberta Energy Company in May 1999 for $1 billion. He served as a Director of International Datashare Corporation. Mr. Chernoff is a Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen's University.
