Brenda Arseneault

Biography

As Chief Financial Officer, Brenda is responsible for the financial leadership of Maxxam and its lines of business. She provides executives with timely and accurate financial information to enable them to make informed decisions. She has oversight over accounting and finance operations, as well as procurement. In addition she works closely with other departments to implement best practices that enable the company to achieve their strategic objectives. Prior to joining Maxxam, Brenda held increasingly complex financial management roles in the media industry including the CFO for a public Canadian subsidiary of a global publisher. She has experience in corporate and operational finance, strategic planning, accounting policies and procedures, budgeting, audit, tax, and corporate governance. She has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa, a Masters of Business Administration from York University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA).
