Biography
As Chief Executive Officer, Donna is responsible for overall leadership of Maxxam across Canada, with a strong emphasis on growing the business in line with Bureau Veritas’ 2020 Strategic Plan. She brings over 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry and a proven track record for delivering excellence in business development, key account management, strategic marketing and operations management to her role. Donna’s career has included a wide range of positions, covering many geographic markets. In most recent years, she held senior and executive management positions at Schlumberger, the world’s largest oilfield services company, including President of Schlumberger Canada. Earlier in her career, she held technology positions with several service firms, always with a focus on applied technology. Donna currently serves as a member of the Government of Canada’s Science, Technology and Innovation Council (STIC) and was previously on the Board of Directors of PTAC (Petroleum Technology Alliance of Canada), PSAC (Petroleum Services Association of Canada), C.E. Franklin and Absolute Completions. She has been invited to speak at numerous industry & government functions, including the Women of Influence speaker series, the US/Algeria Business Council and the Asia Pacific Energy Research Council. Donna has been recognized as a finalist for the Woman of Achievement Award in Alaska in 2001, the 2003 US Energy Woman of the Year in Washington, DC, and in 2006 the Blackberry Women in Technology award in the UK. In 2013, she was included on Alberta’s 50 Most Influential People list.
