Biography
Terry Jacula leads the Petroleum Laboratory Operations team for Maxxam’s Petroleum Line of Business. This diverse team supplies services to the upstream, midstream and downstream energy sectors in Canada and the United States. In addition to his operations role, Terry also designs petroleum labs for Maxxam and industry partners, with over a dozen completed lab projects in operation today. He is part of the business development team, providing technical expertise and consultation. Terry is a certified engineering technologist in chemistry and is registered with the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta. His career path at Maxxam progressed from a lab supervisor and manager to the general manager of petroleum operations, to his current role. Recently his responsibilities shifted to include Maxxam’s Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) initiative, dealing with the rapid sampling and testing for the energy commodities sectors. Prior to joining Maxxam, he worked at the Alberta Research Council as a research analyst and project manager. Terry is a voting member of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB). He is on the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology’s Chemistry Advisory Board and provides technical reviews for many other petroleum industry associations.
