Biography

Val is focused on ensuring Maxxam achieves or exceeds customer expectations and looks for strategic growth opportunities across key customer accounts. She also works closely with regional business development and customer service staff to extend best practices gleaned from the national accounts to apply them across the business. She brings a unique mix of technical, project management and business development skills to her role. Prior to starting her career with Maxxam, Val worked as an HR/GC/MS operator with the National Research Council. Her career path with Maxxam has included laboratory analyst, department head in the laboratory, regional sales manager and national business development manager. She has a B.Sc. with distinction (Chemistry and Math) and has been a member of Maxxam’s R&D advisory group since its inception.
