Dirk Van De Put

Biography

Mr. Dirk Van de Put has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of McCain Foods Limited since July 2011. Mr. Van de Put serves as the Chief Operating Officer of McCain Foods SA (Pty) Ltd. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of McCain Foods Limited from May 2010 to July 2011. He served as an Executive Vice President of Fresh Dairy Products for Americas at Groupe DANONE since January 1, 2008. He served as Executive vice president of fresh dairy products for central and eastern Europe Asia Africa and the Middle East at Danone since January 2008. From 2009 to 2010, he served as President of the Global Over-the-Counter, Consumer Health division of Novartis AG, a world leader in innovative healthcare products, research and development. Prior to that, he served as the President of the Americas division at Groupe Danone, a leader in the food industry in packaged water, dairy and baby food products, from 2007 to 2009 and as President of the Latin America division at Groupe Danone from 1998 to 2007. Mr. Van de Put served as a Executive Vice President of Danone Americas Region of The Dannon Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Groupe DANONE. He served as General Manager of Fresh Dairy Products & waters at DANONE from 2007 to January 2008. He joined Groupe DANONE in 1998 as President of Dairy products for Latin America. In 2002, he also took over responsibility for beverages Latin America. He managed Water and Beverages in Latin America. In 1998, he served as President of the Caribbean division of The Coca-Cola Company and served as Vice President of the Value Chain Management, Brazil division of The Coca-Cola Company from 1997 to 1998. In 1986, he joined Mars Inc. (Masterfood today) in several Marketing, Sales and General Management positions in Europe and Latin America. He has been a Director of McCain Foods Limited since 2010. He has been an Independent Director of Mattel, Inc. since December 1, 2011. Mr. Van de Put holds a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Ghent in Belgium and an MBA from University of Antwerp.
