Dave Leonard is Chief Executive Officer of McCarthy Tétrault, one of Canada’s leading national law firms with more than 550 lawyers in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montréal, Québec City, New York and London (UK). As CEO, Mr. Leonard’s leadership is built on his deep commitment to McCarthy Tétrault’s vision: to be the most innovative firm, leading the market by providing our clients unparalleled service, business solutions and advice. In addition to being an accomplished and well-respected litigator, he has significant relationships built on trust, integrity and transparency with our clients and professionals throughout the country, and across the full range of our areas and industries of practice. Mr. Leonard has held firm leadership roles with increasing responsibilities on a national scale and has achieved an increased market focus and presence for the firm. A vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion, he is committed to working with our partners and people to remove and reduce barriers and foster an environment conducive to success. Mr. Leonard received his LLB from the University of Western Ontario in 1992 and was called to the Ontario bar in 1994.
