Biography
Marc MacMullin is a partner in the Business Law Group in Toronto and co-head of the firm's National Financial Services Group. His practice focuses on structured finance transactions, asset-backed programmes, and covered bond transactions. He has extensive experience as lead counsel in public and private securitization transactions for various asset classes, including credit card receivables, trade receivables, retail instalment contracts, leases, CMBS and RMBS. Mr. MacMullin has been lead counsel to a number of Canadian financial institutions on the establishment of their securitization programmes, global covered bond programmes and related international offerings. Mr. MacMullin is listed in the current edition of Chambers Global: World’s Leading Lawyers for Business as leading lawyer in banking and finance: securitization and in the current edition of Chambers Canada as a leading lawyer in the area of capital markets: securitization. He is also listed in Martindale-Hubbell as "AV Pre-eminent". Mr. MacMullin is a leading lawyer in the area of asset securitization in the current edition of Lexpert/The American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada and The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, a guide to the leading law firms and practitioners in Canada, in the areas of banking and financial institutions, and asset securitization.
