Biography
Dr. Qutayba Hamid is currently a Professor of Medicine at McGill University, Director of the Meakins-Christie Laboratories, and an Associate Director at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Center. He holds the prestigious James McGill Chair and clinical Strauss Chair in Respiratory Medicine, and was recently elected to be a fellow of the Royal Society.
Research Interest
Dr. Hamid's reserach interests include the pathogenesis of asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), the role of cytokines and chemokines in airway inflammation, and developing new therapies in asthma, allergic rhinitis and COPD.
