Research Interest
I am interested in studying the incidence of DKA at diagnosis in children with Type 1 diabetes and associated risk factors. Another ongoing project is studying the prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in adoescent girls with polycystic ovary syndrome. I am starting to study the feasibility of a novel administration of testosterone enanthate in adolescent boys with hypogonadism. I also have a clinical interest in congenital hypopituitarism. With my collegues I am studying the relation between blood glucose control and outcomes from adult intensive care units. As well we are studying the effect of the insulin clamp on amino acid and inflammatory marker concentrations in operative patients.
