Biography
Dr. Nathan Rosen is both a Canadian and American Board Certified dermatologist. A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, he is also a member of numerous associations, including the Candian Dermatology Association, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery Doctor Rosen graduated from McGill University medical school in Montreal, Quebec, where he was awarded the J. Francis Williams Prize for graduating at the top of his class in clinical medicine, and the Dr. Allen Spanier prize for professionalism in medicine. He than continued on at McGill University to complete his dermatology residency training. Following his five year residency, Dr. Rosen spent an additional year of fellowship training at the prestigious New York Laser and Skin Care clinic in Manhattan. This certified fellowship in procedural dermatology with the American College of Graduate Medical Education combined extensive training in laser surgery and cosmetic procedures, with Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery. During his fellowship, Dr. Rosen was involved in cutting edge laser research, involving the development of new laser technology, and he continues this work at Dermetics. Dr. Rosen has also published numerous articles and book chapters, and has presented scientific data at both national and international conferences. As well, Dr. Rosen is actively involved in teaching medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. He conducts regular teaching sessions for resident physicians and medical students, and he gives lectures to local physicians on topics such as skin cancer, acne, eczema and other skin conditions as well as cosmetic procedures.
