Biography
Dr. Lanzini is Dermatologist Board Certified in Brazil. She finished medical school at the Faculdade Evangélica do Paraná(Brazil) in 1990. After completing her Medical School, Dr. Lanzini started her Internal Medicine Residency program at Faculdade Evangélica do Paraná (Brazil) in 1991. Later, she decided to follow her career training in Dermatology. She started her Dermatology Residency program at Faculdade Evangélica do Paraná (Brazil) in 1992. In 1994, the Brazilian License Dermatology Board approved her as Dermatologist. She was then appointed as Assistant Professor of Dermatologyand Academic Physician at Dermatology division, Internal Medicine Department at the Faculdade Evangélica do Paraná(Brazil) in 1995. After completing her initial position as junior faculty, Dr. Lanzini decided to evolve her academic dermatology career. Dr. Lanzini started her Master Degree in Dermatology at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (Brazil) in 2000. Later, she was appointed Adjunct Professor of Dermatology at Dermatology division, Internal Medicine Department at the Faculdade Evangélica do Paraná (Brazil) after accomplished her Master Degree in 2001. In 2002, she accepted the position as head of Dermatology Surgery and Cosmiatry session at Dermatology division at the Faculdade Evangélica do Paraná (Brazil). She helped to establish the new model of dermatology residency training responsible for advanced preparation of residents from Dermatology and Plastic Surgery in Dermatology Surgery and Cosmiatry. She was the main mentor and co-responsible for the training innumerous medical student and residents in Dermatology in Brazil at this period. From this observations and studies, she decided to progress her academic training in image evaluation process. She started her PhD at Department of internal medicine, Federal University of Parana (Brazil) in 2007. She finishes her PhD in 2010. Dr. Lanzini is an effective member of the Canadian Dermatology Association, the Brazilian Society of Dermatology, and the American Society of Dermatology. She is also trained in Mohs Surgery. Her main research interests are in the area of Dermatology Surgery, Skin Cancer, Teledermatology and Image processing. Dr. Lanzini published articles in peer-reviewed specialized journals.
