Caitlin Talbot

Biography

A San Francisco native, Caitlin became immersed in yoga’s healing powers after her first class as a student at Lowell High School. She was a regular at Yoga Tree in its early years and completed her first training at It’s Yoga San Francisco with Larry Schultz where she was introduced to The Rocket Ashtanga-Vinyasa which still informs her teachings today. She’s gone onto primarily study with Schuyler Grant, founder of Kula Flow in NY and Wanderlust Festivals. In her 500-hour training at Wanderlust, Caitlin studied Natal yoga with Sue Elkind, anatomy with Noah Maze and Joan Hyman and Yoga for Trauma with Connection Coalition. In LA, she co-founded Hollywood Power Yoga where she led Teacher Trainings and retreats. Her passion is in the meditative aspects of yoga; whether moving through a more layered vinyasa-flow or a simple restorative sequence, the focus is on staying connected to the breath to discover freedom and ease amidst the challenges. She encourages her students to listen to their own bodies and tune into their own wisdom so that the practice can hopefully embolden and enlighten us to become our most fully realized and compassionate selves.
