Erich Mohr

Biography

  Dr. Erich Mohr, PhD, R.Psych. founded MedGenesis Therapeutix Inc. in 2005 and also serves as its Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Mohr served as Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of Pra International from 2002 to December 31, 2005. He co-founded CroMedica Global Inc./ CroMedica International Inc. in 1995 and served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at the time of the acquisition. Dr. Mohr was the Scientific Director of the Institute of Mental Health Research and previously the Associate Director of Research for the Royal Ottawa Hospital. Dr. Mohr was a Professor of Medicine and Psychology at the University of Ottawa until 1997 and has over 30 years of experience in experimental therapeutics of CNS disorders. He was a Co-Founder of several biotechnology companies. Over the course of his career, he has overseen and/or participated in dozens of clinical development programs resulting in a number of approved drugs. Dr. Mohr has chaired and /or served on several regulatory advisory panels for the approval of new products for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease. Dr. Mohr has been the Chairman of Del Mar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since July 11, 2017 and as its Independent Director since March 31, 2015. He is credited with over 150 publications, books, book chapters and abstracts and has edited the Handbook of Clinical Trials: The neurobehavioral approach. Dr. Mohr earned his Ph.D. in neuropsychology in 1982 and M.S. in neuropsychology in 1980, both from the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Also in British Columbia, Canada, he became certified as a registered psychologist, with a specialization in neuropsychology. In 1977, Dr. Mohr received a bachelors degree in psychology and in 1976 he received a B.S. in chemistry/biology, both from the University of the Pacific.
