Biography
Dr. Ian Glew’s formal specialization through his PhD dissertation is corporate reorganization, a focused topic in corporate finance. By studying income trusts, however, his interests have morphed to include taxation, payout policy, public finance and macroeconomic policy. Five published works recount the properties of income trusts and the related tax policy legislation, while recent accepted publications relate money supply to output. Works in progress touch on stock exchange mergers, which compare to other reorganizations and the potential for further crises in Europe’s smaller nations based on macroeconomic indicators. In all topics, Dr. Glew strives to introduce current finance practice into the Memorial undergraduate classroom experience. True satisfaction comes through demonstrated learning.
