Carmine Fortino

Biography

Mr. Carmen Fortino has been Executive Vice President of Metro Inc. since February 3, 2016 and has been its Head of Ontario Division since September 2, 2014. Mr. Fortino has been Senior Vice President and Head of Metro Ontario Division of Metro Ontario Inc., since September 2, 2014. Mr. Fortino served as Senior Vice-President at Metro Inc. since September 2, 2014 until February 3, 2016. He leads all of Metro's business in Ontario, including its more than 260 Metro and Food Basics stores and 70 pharmacies. He served as an Executive Vice President of Business Development at GNC Holdings Inc., since September 2013. He has 30 years of broad business experience and a deep understanding of the Ontario food retail market, having held several executive positions of progressively increasing responsibility with a leading retailer, complemented by more recent experiences in the health and wellness sector internationally. He is a seasoned executive with extensive high-level experience leading multi-brand, multi-channel environments augmented by a solid background in supply chain, logistics and financial reporting. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Seroyal International Inc. Mr. Fortino served as the President of Atrium North American Operations at Atrium Innovations Inc., since February 28, 2011 until June 26, 2013. He builds on a strong brand position within the North American operations, focusing on creating and optimizing various market opportunities, while leveraging operating systems to provide best in class products and services. He served as the Head of Ontario Operations at Loblaw Companies Limited, segment of George Weston Limited. He served as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain & Logistics at Loblaw Companies Ltd. From 2003 to January 2007, he served various officer positions with Loblaw Companies Limited, Ontario Region and also served as its Executive Vice President. He served as an Executive Vice President of Zehrmart Limited in Cambridge, Ontario from 2000 to 2003. Prior to 2000, he held senior management positions with various companies. He has been an Independent Director of Delivra Corp. since December 21, 2015. He served as a Director of Seroyal International Inc and GNC Corp. Mr. Fortino has been a Director of General Nutrition Centers, Inc. since July 2007. He served as a Director of Delivra Corp. (now Whiteknight Acquisitions III Inc.) since December 21, 2015. He served as a Director of General Nutrition, Incorporated. He served as Director of GNC Holdings Inc., from 2007 to March 2011.
