Biography
Robert I. Valliant obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo and a PhD in Economic Geology in 1981 from the University of Western Ontario, in London, Ontario. Dr. Valliant is President and Secretary of Tri Origin Exploration Ltd., an issuer listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and a director of its affiliate TriAusMin Ltd. listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in January 2004 and the Toronto Stock Exchange in January 2010. Prior to co-founding Tri Origin Exploration Ltd and founding TriAusMin Ltd., Dr. Valliant was Vice-President Exploration, LAC Minerals Ltd. He is a fellow of the Geological Association of Canada and a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, the Society of Economic Geologist and the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. He is also a director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
