Kevin Swabey

Biography

Kevin was appointed President of Midwest Surveys in June, 2008. He originally joined Midwest in 1996 fresh out of University as a survey assistant. Kevin has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility until becoming Manager of the Edmonton branch in 2004. Kevin is responsible for the direction of Midwest Surveys, including enhancing profitability, maintaining a safety-orientated culture, fostering employee development, and, perhaps most importantly, designing and executing Midwest’s “Service Beyond Boundaries” business strategy. He works very closely with the senior management team to ensure the company’s high standards of ethical conduct are maintained. Kevin also takes a lead role on the Midwest’s Board of Directors. Kevin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geomatics Engineering and holds an Alberta Land Surveyor commission. He currently serves as a Council member of the Alberta Land Surveyor’s Association. Born and raised in Calgary, he is an avid sports fan and outdoorsman. You will find Kevin heading to the mountains with his family at any opportunity.
