Biography
Michael joined Midwest Surveys in 2003 and spent three summers as a Survey Assistant/Rodman. In 2006, Michael joined the Medicine Hat GPS department full-time as a Geomatics Technician. He moved to Calgary in 2010 and joined the GIS department as a GIS Specialist and took his post as GIS Project Manager in 2012. Midwest is proud to have Michael lead our GIS team with his recent promotion to Corporate GIS Manager. Michael plays a critical role in providing GIS support in various projects company wide. Michael received his Geomatics Engineering Technologies Certificate from Lethbridge Community College in 2004 and completed his Bachelor of Science (GIS) at the University of Lethbridge in 2006. He has also spent time teaching several GIS courses at SAIT during his time working as a GIS specialist. In his time off, Michael spends time with his family enjoying many outdoor activities including running after his kids, camping and spending time at the lake.
