Biography
Steve initially joined Midwest in 1994 as a Survey Assistant. It didn’t take long for him to be promoted into crew chief as his advanced technical skills and passion for the work was easily recognized. Steve took on many of the more complex jobs over his many years in the field and proved to be one of the most effective crew chiefs in the company. In 2009, he decided it was time to take the necessary exams to become a Saskatchewan Land Surveyor and in 2010 he received his SLS commission. Shortly thereafter he was promoted to Estevan Office Manager, and today he is continuing his professional development by working on his MLS commission. Steve was also recently appointed to sit on the Midwest Board of Directors. Steve also participates in the Innovation Committee, in the Equipment Committee and GPS Task Force Committee. Steve looks after projects from initial client contact to the issuing of final plans, ensuring timelines and client demands are met. When Steve isn’t working, he is flying south with his wife to soak in the sun and relax a little.
