Connor Buffel

Biography

I am a dynamic professional with 3 years experience in clinical research and 5 years experience in a project-based environment, who strives for success in the cutting-edge pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Holding positions in a Utility company, a CRO, a healthcare startup, and working as a Freelance Consultant I have obtained wide experience collaborating with an array of professionals and clients over my young career. Most recently I completed a Master of Biomedical Technology (MBT) at the University of Calgary to expand my knowledge in the fields of molecular biology, biotechnology commercialization, finance, marketing, and sales. Through this degree I enhanced my theoretical science knowledge, business acumen, and lab experience. A key highlight of my MBT degree was completing a 3-month practicum with a startup company based in Ghent, Belgium. In addition, I have served as the regional Marketing and Communications Lead for the Calgary Chapter of the Clinical Research Association of Canada since November 2014. These experiences have provided me with a well-rounded knowledge of both science and business, which I utilize to succeed on a daily basis in my current role as a Freelance Consultant.
