Barden, Ph.D is a successful entrepreneur, with experience in life science and information technology start-ups, he has also been admitted to the bar of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, having significant expertise in managing the intellectual property of companies. Companies managed or co-founded by him have garnered over $7 million in venture financing and grants in the past five years.He was a Discovery Award recipient (2010), an award granted to talented individuals for their national and international work in the fields of sciences and technology and a Fusion Halifax GO Award (2011) for excellence in innovation and entrepreneurship.
