Biography
"Pierpaolo Guarnieri is Senior Structural Geologist at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS). He has a degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Padua (Italy) and a PhD in Structural Geology from the University of Catania (Italy). After 15 years' experience with Structural Geology and Geological Mapping in the Southern Alps, Southern Apennines and Sicily fold-thrust belts he joined GEUS in 2008 where he leads the Photogrammetry Lab. He initiated the new experience with Arctic geology participating in many expeditions with fieldwork in Greenland for structural mapping and 3D-photogeology, developing several projects sponsored by exploration mining companies and the oil industry and PhD-projects funded by NordMin and GeoCenter Danmark."
