Antoine Eche

Biography

Antoine Eche is Assistant Professor of French. He obtained his PhD in French Literature from the Université François Rabelais in Tours, France. He also obtained a Maîtrise in Teaching French as a Foreign Language and a Maîtrise in English and American Literatures and Civilizations from the same university. He has taught courses in French language and literatures at the University of Strathclyde (Scotland), the University of Calgary and the University of Cyprus. His research interests revolve around the writing modalities and the ethnographic perspectives of Ancien Régime and Modern travel writing with respect to European countries, Africa and America. He recently has endeavoured a collaborative research project centred on Francophone travellers going West in Canada, and especially in Alberta, in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries.

Research Interest

His research interests revolve around the writing modalities and the ethnographic perspectives of Ancien Régime and Modern travel writing with respect to European countries, Africa and America.
