Biography
Brad graduated from the University of Calgary in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. After a brief period working in the tourism industry, he attended the University of New Brunswick, obtaining a Master of Arts in contemporary American Literature in 1992. In 1993 Brad began his teaching career, teaching technical and business communications at SAIT, and soon after was hired to teach part time at Mount Royal, where he was granted tenure in 2002, teaching in the Bissett School of Business. In the Winter of 2007 he took a sabbatical to complete his MBA through Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, as well as to author the first Canadian edition of Scot Ober's Contemporary Business Communications. In 2016, he and his research partner were accepted into the Nexen Scholars program, with a project entitled Concepts over Computations, an intervention that explores the use stories to teach business statistics with an emphasis on context. Their work on this project is ongoing.
