Biography
Mariya joined the Department in 2005. Mariya completed her education in National Taras Shevchenko University, Kiev, Ukraine. She specializes in applications of differential and integral equations to mathematical modeling of dynamical systems. She teaches and coordinates different mathematical courses. In addition to teaching, she also develops new courses in mathematical modeling, conducts her research in the area of mathematical biology and epidemiology. Main areas of scholarly interest and/or expertise: Mathematical modeling in population biology and epidemiology. Mariya has served as Calgary Math Kangaroo coordinator since 2006.
