Biography
Victoria Calvert is the Community Service Learning (CSL) Facilitator for Mount Royal University. She has taught entrepreneurship and international courses, served as initial Chair of the Entrepreneurship Applied Degree, and has taught CSL based courses since 1994 with her students contributing over 77,000 hours to community partners. Victoria is engaged in CSL research at the national and international levels through CACSL and IARSLCE, and has served as Academic Chair and Conference Chair for the national CSL conferences. While her research focused on entrepreneurship for almost twenty years, her research since 2008 pertains to CSL with regards to partnership relationships, Global Service Learning, and strategies to optimize impact for both student learning and community organizations. She is a frequent keynote speaker regarding CSL, and is pursuing multi-institutional initiatives. Victoria has also consulted Alberta based SMEs through her practice since 1982.
