Biography
Ali Afnan is President of StepChange Pharma, Inc. a pharmaceutical industry technical consultancy focused on process design and development, process analytical technology (PAT), Quality by Design (QbD) and regulatory issues. He is formerly a Senior Staff Fellow At the FDA CDER’s Office of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and a member of FDA’s original PAT Team. He was previously a senior engineer for AstraZeneca. Ali earned his Bs.C. in applied chemistry from Cardiff University and his Ph.D. from the University of Manchester.
