Biography
Gary Skarja joined Natrix in December 2012 as Director of Research & Development. He is responsible for research & development activities for Natrix materials and products; innovation in materials, devices and deployment methods; intellectual property strategies; and external research partnerships. Gary has held several senior R&D positions in the biomedical industry, including Director, Biomaterials & Devices at the Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine and Vice President, Research & Chief Operating Officer at Rimon Therapeutics Ltd. Dr. Skarja earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Toronto, and his Masters and Bachelors degrees in Chemical Engineering at McMaster University. His is the author of 9 original peer-reviewed scientific papers and 24 conference papers. He holds two issued patents and 14 patents under review.
