Biography
Marc Boissonneault is responsible for Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations’s exploration, mining, milling and smelter operations in Sudbury. He began his career in 1988 as a supervisor in the metals recycling industry. In 1989, he joined Kidd Creek Mines in Timmins as a production engineer and over the subsequent nine years, he has progressed through various production and project related roles. In 1998, he relocated to Sudbury to lead the development of process technologies for strategic projects. In 2002, he joined the Sudbury Smelter team as the Manager of Engineering and Technology and was appointed Director of the Sudbury Smelter in 2006. In September 2008, he assumed responsibility for Glencore's Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations. Marc has an engineering degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He is the Chairman of the Ontario Mining Association and serves on the Boards of the Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation, Laurentian University and NORCAT.
