Biography
Len has worked in the mining industry for over 30 year since graduating from the South Dakota School of Mines in 1982 (Bachelor of Science Engineering -- Mining) and Haileybury School of Mines in 1980 (Mining Technologist). Len's underground mining experience in construction, production and development in both track and trackless mines give him valuable insight to mine design, evaluation and management. Len has also worked as a mine foreman, general foreman, chief engineer and mine superintendent in Ontario and Quebec. He has experience with cut and fill, underhand cut and fill, shrinkage, long hole, panel, room and pillar along with Alimak production mining. Len was instrumental in the installation of the underground paste fill system at Williams and David Bell Mine. Len's experience allows him to tackle different mining approaches from both an engineering, and operational, point of view. Prior to joining NordPro in 2012 Mr. Therrien had the responsibility of bringing the Remote Nixon Fork Mine in Alaska into readiness for production whilst in the role of Mine Manager.
