Biography

Mr. Mike Svetozar Zafirovski has been a Senior Advisor of the Blackstone Group LP since October 03, 2011. Mr. Zafirovski has been an Executive Advisor at The Blackstone Group, Private Equity Group since October 2011. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Nortel Networks Inc. Mr. Zafirovski served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Nortel Networks Corporation at Avaya Government Solutions Inc. from November 15, 2005 to August 10, 2009 He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Nortel Networks Ltd., a subsidiary of Nortel Networks Corp. from November 15, 2005 to August 10, 2009. He served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Motorola Solutions, Inc. from July 25, 2002 to January 31, 2005 and its Advisor since January 31, 2005 and also served as its Consultant until May 2005. Mr. Zafirovski joined Motorola in June 2000 and served as its Executive Vice President and President of the Personal Communications Sector from June 2000 to July 25, 2002. He headed the cell-phone unit at Motorola. Prior to Motorola, he spent 25 years with General Electric Company (GE) , where he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of General Electric Company from July 1999 to May 2000 and as President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Lighting, Europe, Middle East and Africa from April 1996 to June 1999. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Lighting from July 1999 to May 2000. He has been the Chairman at DJO Finance LLC since January 05, 2012. He has been Non-Executive Chairman of AVINTIV Inc. since December 2012. Mr. Zafirovski has been Non Executive Chairman of DJO Global, Inc. since January 5, 2012 and AVINTIV Specialty Materials Inc. (formerly Polymer Group, Inc.) since December, 2012. He has been a Director of Stericycle, Inc., since November 15, 2012, DJO Finance LLC since January 5, 2012, Apria Healthcare Group Inc. since October 3, 2011 and of Polymer Group, Inc. since December 13, 2012. He has been an Independent Director of The Boeing Company since October 25, 2004, He serves as a Trustee of Museum of Science and Industry. He serves on the Board of Directors/Trustee of United Way of Lake County Illinois and Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago and the Economic Club of Chicago. He served as a Director of Motorola Inc. from 2002 to January 31, 2005. He served as a Director of Nortel Networks Corporation and Nortel Networks Ltd from November 15, 2005 to August 10, 2009. Mr. Zafirovski holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and honorary doctorate degree from Edinboro University in 2002.
