Darron Chin-quee

Biography

 Darron has over 28 years of experience in the fields of acoustics and vibration. He has a Bachelor of Engineering & Management (Mechanical Engineering) and an M.B.A. from McMaster University, and has published numerous papers on acoustics and noise and vibration impact assessment. His technical focus is on acoustics/vibration related to building design and environmental noise/vibration issues for transportation, industry and land use planning. He has considerable management experience having led a group of technical specialists in sound and vibration, spanning many geographical regions and has managed teams on multi-faceted projects involving Novus’ areas of expertise. He is responsible for providing overall direction and leadership on projects, ensuring that a sound technical product and a high level of service is provided from work plan design through analysis, reporting, presentations and expert witness testimony. His experience is extensive having worked throughout the world on projects in Building design – health care, labs, institutional ( justice, corrections, civic centres, museum), higher education, K-12 education, science & technology, industrial, high-rise residential; and Environmental Assessments – energy, waste, transportation, land-use approval, expert witness. Darron is a respected specialist and qualified expert witness in several Canadian jurisdictions.
