Biography
Rocío Morales is currently the Manager at the Canadian Research Institute for Food Safety, Dept. of Food Science, University of Guelph. She fosters collaborations between professors and food safety stakeholders; from small to medium size companies to provincial and federal governmental representatives, for research projects related to food microbiology. Rocío holds a doctorate degree in Food Science from the University of Guelph and a Masters degree in Biotechnology from CINVESTAV-IPN, Mexico. As a researcher, she supports the Food Safety and Quality assurance program, at the University of Guelph, supervising graduate students. Rocío is also part of the food safety programs in the Department of Chemistry, University of Queretaro, Mexico.
