Biography
Mr. Prichard, 67, of Toronto, Ontario, is nonexecutive Chairman of Torys LLP and was previously President and Chief Executive Officer of each of Metrolinx and Torstar Corporation. Prior to joining Torstar, he was President of the University of Toronto from 1990-2000. He is also Chairman of each of Bank of Montreal and Metrolinx, and a director of George Weston Ltd. and Barrick Gold Corporation. He is a trustee of the Hospital for Sick Children and a member of Ontario’s Economic Advisory panel. Mr. Prichard studied economics at Swarthmore College and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago, a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Toronto and a Master of Laws degree from Yale University. He is also an Officer of the Order of Canada, a Member of the Order of Ontario and a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
