Biography
Virgil leads Onex’ group purchasing program with the goal of increasing shareholder value by driving procurement best practices and group contracts across portfolio companies. Prior to joining Onex, Virgil was Senior Director of Indirect Procurement at Celestica, a role in which he managed a team of procurement professionals that purchased indirect goods and services globally. Virgil also served as Director of Corporate Finance at Celestica, with responsibility for Financial Systems, IT Controllership and Finance Learning and Development. Virgil holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey School of Business and an Honours Genetics and Biochemistry degree, both from the University of Western Ontario. Virgil is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Project Management Professional.
