Wilfred Jefferies

Biography

Dr. Jefferies is a Professor at the University of British Columbia and is the scientific founder of the Company. He previously founded Synapse Technologies Inc., which was subsequently acquired by BioMarin Pharmaceuticals Inc. A world expert in identifying biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease and the delivery of drugs across the blood brain barrier. Dr. Jefferies holds a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Victoria and a PhD from the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology at the University of Oxford. He is a Professor in the Michael Smith Laboratories at the University of British Columbia.
