He has an active research program in various disciplinary areas of agriculture and life sciences, and interdisciplinary aspects of the relationship between science/knowledge based industries, innovation and society.He has supervised 64 M.Sc and PhD graduate theses.His research programs scholarly contributions have included: two patented vaccines; over 500 scientific and technical reports and publications.
