William L. Mcquaide

Biography

Mr. William L. McQuaide, also known as Bill, has been Chief Product Officer at PointClickCare Corp. since 2014. Mr. McQuaide oversees Wescom's product strategy, product management and engineering teams. Prior to joining Wescom Solutions in early 2014, he worked as an Executive Vice President of Product Development at Black Duck Software Inc. He served as Executive Vice President of Products and Strategy of Black Duck Software Inc., where he directs the strategic product initiatives, including developing product strategies, defining products that satisfy the needs of Black Duck's growing customer base and managing the product development functions. Mr. McQuaide served as Senior Vice President, Product Development of Black Duck Software Inc. since September 10, 2007. He joined Black Duck Software Inc. after spending 10 years with RSA Security during which time RSA Security experienced rapid growth. Mr. McQuaide served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development of RSA Security LLC. since December 2005 and Senior Vice President, Enterprise Solutions Division since August 2003. He served as Senior Vice President, Authentication Products Division from April 2002 to August 2003, Senior Vice President, Marketing from January 2002 to April 2002, Vice President, Product Management from October 1999 to January 2002 and Director of Marketing Programs from May 1997 to October 1999. Mr. McQuaide has 20 years of technology experience and executive leadership spanning engineering, product management, marketing and business development. Before joining RSA Security Inc., Mr. McQuaide held a number of marketing and management positions, including Senior Channel Marketing Manager for technical workstations and servers, at the Hewlett-Packard Company from August 1993 to April 1997, where he led the Product Management and Channel Development teams for the HP's Technical Systems Division. In prior positions, Mr. McQuaide worked for Data General, Stardent Computer and Apollo Computer, where he was instrumental in defining and launching successful hardware and software products. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, discussing a broad range of information security topics including authentication methods, identity and access management, data encryption and network and application security. He earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Management and a Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts.
