David G. Brown

Biography

Mr. David G. Brown, also known as Dave, CPA, CA, LL.B, serves as the President, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Richardson Capital Limited. Mr. Brown has s overall responsibility for the operations for the fund. Previously, he was a Partner at Gray & Brown and a Director and Secretary at Richardson Financial Group. He served as a Corporate Secretary at James Richardson & Sons, Limited. He has over 15 years of experience in advising family businesses and investment companies in the areas of taxation, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate reorganizations, financings and estate planning. He has been an Independent Director of GMP Capital Inc. since May 1, 2014. He has been Director at Pollard Banknote Limited since May 15, 2017. He has been an Independent Trustee of Boyd Group Income Fund since June 25, 2012. He has been Director of the Boyd Group Inc and Boyd Group Holdings Inc since June 26, 2013. He serves as a Member of the Investment Committee of the RFG Private Equity Fund. He serves on the boards of number of private companies including Richardson Capital Limited and Plastic Moulders Holdings Limited. He served as a Director of Novadaq Technologies Inc. since July 2002. He served as a Director of Mechtronix Systems Inc., and Richardson Partners Financial Limited. He is a Member of the Law Society of Manitoba, the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba. He is a Practicing Lawyer and a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Brown graduated from the University of Manitoba law school.
