Biography
National Managing Partner, Montréal office, Major Cities, and Consulting and Deals Nicolas Marcoux is National Managing Partner, Montréal office, Major Cities, and Consulting and Deals at PwC. He is also the Managing Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance Inc. and specializes in mergers and acquisitions. Over the past 20 years, he has assisted mid-market public and private companies with acquisitions, divestitures and raising capital. He is very familiar with the various intricacies of a transaction. Nicolas has a lot of experience dealing with private equity firms in Canada and throughout North America. Recent Transactions: Acquisition of IPL by One51 Sale of Première Moisson to Metro Inc. Acquisition of Groupe BMR Inc. by La Coop fédérée Acquisition of le Maître Saladier by Groupe St-Hubert In addition to his responsibilities with PwC, Nicolas is dedicated to his community, as demonstrated by his involvement on boards of several organizations such as Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Ski Québec Alpin and Fondation Jeunes en Tête. He also serves as a Member of the Board and Governor of the Fondation de Recherche en Administration de l’Université de Sherbrooke (FRAUS). Nicolas began his career with PwC in 1989 and was admitted to the partnership in 2000. He is a graduate of the University of Sherbrooke with a bachelor’s degree in business administration (1991). He is a Canadian chartered accountant (1993) and Fellow (2014), and also holds the Corporate Finance designation (CF).
