Biography
Samad Talebpour began his career as a laser physicist working on the interaction of highpower laser generated electric fields with biological matter at Laval University in Quebec City. After a two-year post doctoral program at the National Research Council of Canada as a physical chemist working on the potential application of strong laser filaments in air for remote detection of chemical or biological agents, he joined NOVX Systems as a founding member. He initially worked as an optical systems engineer and later as a key member of the scientific team that helped to define product requirements and worked in the development and refinement of the product and later on its clinical testing to regulatory approval. Dr. Talebpour is a founding member of Qvella Corporation where he serves as its Chief Scientist and has played a key role in the development of its technology. Samad has published extensively with over 35 peer-reviewed articles and has been an inventor or co-inventor on 12 patents and patent applications. Samad Talebpour’s approach to product development is quite multidisciplinary and is mainly focused on reconciling the rigour of physical sciences with the intricate complexity of biology.
