Biography
Andrew is a physicist who believes that physics is simple; the tough part is finding the simplicity. Born near Toronto in the late 70’s, he did his HBSc in physics at York University. He completed his MSc in astro-particle physics and PhD in particle physics at the University of Alberta working on the CDF experiment at Fermilab, a U.S. Department of Energy laboratory near Chicago. He then moved to the University of Geneva (Switzerland) working as a research associate on the ATLAS experiment at the European Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN). He started at the University of Cape Town (South Africa) in 2011 and spent six years building an ATLAS research group there. Andrew joined Quest in 2017, bringing his teaching and research experience into the physical sciences component of our program.
