Biography
Steve Clark is a seasoned marketing professional with successes in defining and commercializing clinical diagnostic products for markets worldwide. Steve received an M.S. degree in Human Physiology from the University of California, Davis. Prior to entering molecular diagnostics, Steve worked in various roles at the Syva Company including planning and launching several immunoassays and automation for therapeutic drug monitoring and drugs of abuse testing. In molecular diagnostics, he has worked in numerous management roles for Gen-Probe Inc., GeneOhm Sciences Inc., Becton, Dickinson and Company and Hologic Incorporated. As Program Director at Gen-Probe, Steve led the initial development and introduction of the first integrated, fully automated high volume molecular diagnostics instrument. As Marketing Director, Steve led a team that implemented NAAT HIV/HCV blood screening testing system with the ARC under an IND. At GeneOhm, Steve had a leadership role in planning and execution of market development and commercialization of the first molecular assays for key healthcare associated pathogens and following the acquisition of GeneOhm by BD, Steve was instrumental in strategizing, defining and launching a next generation automated molecular-based system.
